That tire size is pretty small, you shouldnt be rubbing unless your suspension is collapsed. Maybe its soft enough that your rubbing the suspension snubber, which would explain it being louder in turns since the shifting weight would push more.

Blue, the 677 was also without shipping since I could drive and it would have been outrageous. And, the prices have gone up alittle so you wont be getting it that cheap...

Ill give you a list when I get on my home computer...

Edit: Oh, and you never specified if you are getting the Granada swap or not. The 600 bucks makes me think your considering the kit from Degins though. If so, those wheels will not fit. You'll need minimum of 15"
i was under there and all the bushing on the suspension look decent. Steering, not so much. The shocks looked like they were the stock ones though...or at least VERY old. That could be the issue. Regardless, I still want to replace the suspension. Maybe I should just do the basic kits for now and see how that improves things. It really didn't look bad at all to be honest. As far as the brakes go, I was thinking Granada...........found a site that sells it for $545. The site says the 14" Magnum 500's fit with the Granada conversion.....so...guess I will have to find out! Thanks for the list though...at least I can see what needs to be replaced, and then evalutate and see if I need to replace it.

You said the tire is a 205/70-14, which is a 25.3" diameter tire. I'm assuming those are 7" wide rims, but could be 8"... That is the exact same diameter as my 215/55-16s in my signature pic below. Mine do not rub, and are 7" rims, because they have a 4" backspacing that draws them in under the fender lip. If you have 3.75" backspacing or less, then this is the reason your rubbing....not because of the suspension.

Do you know how to measure backspacing?

yea, that is what I did and came up with 2". Might not have been very accurate though. I will try and measure better tomorrow.

best to take the wheel off and measure like this. If it's really 2"... there's no way to make those Keystones work.

Dayum bro, when I measured my Toyota wheels to demonstrate the BS a few days ago, I used a 2X4 that I immediately used for construction. It became a cat scratching post.

alright, I stuck a tape on it tonight like that and got 4.5". Not sure how I got 2" before. Maybe it isn't the tires rubbing and it is just me not used to the manual steering in a turn yet or something. Definately felt strange though. Wonder if it could be due to the fact that one of my tie rods is completely missing a bushing. Strange that all of my bushings, or at least 90% of them look perfect, like someone replaced them recently. Still going tto upgrade the suspension, just trying to decide to what extent. Defniately doing the Granada swap though...especially since I think my wheels will work with it. Hopefully I can get my starter replaced here in the next week or so and take it for a drive and really pay attention to the steering and turing.

Did you take the wheel off the car and measure from the backside (inside) of the wheel? Or from the outside of the wheel? You have to measure from the inside.

Not to be disrespectful, but there's no way those front wheels are 4.5" BS unless they were custom made.

I just put a tape against that part you show in that picture and eye balled it. Maybe that isn't the right part to measure from. What should the correct backspacing be?
