Default Appraisal?

I need to get an appraisal for my 64 1/2 Mustang for my insurance.
I've askeda few people I know and noone really knows one.

What is my next best bet? The Yellow Pages?
I'm leary of going to someone that was not referred to me.

Any words of advice?
Thank you!

Check the yellow pages for a classic car appraiser. That would be your best bet.

Go to http://www2.nadaguides.com/click on 'classics' and go to your make, year and model. Fill in the appropiate blocks for your car and get a print out. There are three levels of value listed, all based on car sales. With picturesof my four my cars, I submitted a print out with each car and all were accepted by my insurance company.

It's an appraisal...wouldn't worry too much, an appraiser should be fine. It's not like they are going to be taking apart your car. Just make sure to let them know any features of the car that can't be seen by the naked eye.
