Default Appraisal??

I'm looking to get my car appraised and get the honest truth. Just wondering if anyone knows a company or place around NC where I can get my car appraised at. Also what is the best place to go for a retail value for the car?

I have the 67 Coupe. I just put a 351W in it with just a little work. It still has a 3spd and I'm putting in a 68 9 inch rear. Interior is beautiful, restoration is beautiful. It's not perfect but is surely a head turner. If anyone has any insight on what I might fetch if I were to sell it please let me know.

sweet little thing/engine.
they might value more if you sort out the hood (or is it opened a bit?)

There's an Automotive Appraisal Group representative in Raleigh. For approx. $4-500, he'll come to your door and perform a professional appraisal. It will be a couple hundred less if you meet him in Raleigh.

I've used him before, butI'm not sure if I'd use him again. He presented himselfon the surface as a "know it all" of all things muscle car, but in reality hewasn't. For example, he asked me if the 5 spd. TKO600 transmission was "factory original"?

Ah, no, it's not. There werenumerous other examples of his ineptitude. The appraisal cam back and I had to call the corporate office to dispute his appraisal. On a rating scale of 1-5, the car received "5's" across the board, but the final $$ value was half of what cars in worse condition wereselling for.

So, to answer your question, yes there is a company in Raleigh that specializes in classic cars, but I'd think twice about using them.

I appreciate that Dave. I don't want to fork out money to get a crappy appraisal though.
