Default Spark plug wire help!!!

So I was in such a hurry to put my new plugs and wiresin that I took out my old ones and pulled off the wires, then I realized I dont know where the wires plug into the distributor!!! I have a manual thats shows the firing order of the cylinders, but I still dont know what postion to plug them into the cap. This isnt the first time Ive done this either. I did it in my corvette about a year ago too!! Please help, Thanks

OK, since you know the firing order you are in good hands with Allstate. Take your distributor cap off and turn the engine over so that the rotor points at the #1 plug wire which is at 1:00 O'clock. That wire then goes to the #1 plug. Now going counter-clockwise, the next one goes to the next plug, etc, until you get them all hooked up.

I figured as much, but Jim is in a frisky mood this afternoon because he can't see your car is a classic mustang because he is so old and his eyes are worn out and too cheap to buy a pair of 7 dollar reading glasses. You do know the firing order on that 289 don't you?

Seven bucks ? Who are you Daddy Warbucks? Richie Rich? Thurston Howell III ? I never pay more than three for cheaters.

Blinded by that demon rum, I am. And I'm due for a couple of new pair anyway, thanks for the reminder.
