Default Pulstar Plugs

Has any one used these plugs? They don't have an application for my 1966 Mustang via internet but I'm sure they have something for 289s. The research sounds interesting and promising.

Interesting. Order some, put them in then get back to us with how many of your pistons wound up with holes in them.

Hmmm, interesting. Capacitive Discharge Ignition, in a new way. The "circuit" inside the plug is pretty much just a capacitor apparently. Assuming so I would say the ignition works much as they say. Sort of similar to an older CDI ignition. A decent explanation of CDI here-http://www.vw-resource.com/cdi.html.
$25 a plug? I dunno about that. For the same $200 you could get a proven, though more traditional CDI ignition such as an MSD 6A like here-http://www.modacar.com/products/Ford/Mustang/MODAIGC.
Traditionally the enemy of about all electronics is heat. Not surehow longa capacitor can live inside a spark plug. It would have to live a pretty long time and save mor ethan a little gas to recoup the $200 investment. Perhaps they really are that good and worth having. I'm quite willing to wait and let others find out first. I remember when Splitfire plugs were all the rage, right up until they were sued after proven to be smoke and mirrors. Ifthese CD plugscatch on I expect the price will drop to something more reasonable. At that point I will be quite interested. At least wait until somebody runs a set on a dyno before and after test.

What else creates heat in a cylinder? If you are too lean - heat. If you are too advanced - heat. Put in a $25 spark plug and with a bit of too little gas and bit too much advance - POOF.
