You put one of those in your trunk? How do you secure it and doesn't it take up a bunch of space?

Hello all, new to this forum and excited about my first Mustang purchase! Anyhoo, tried to buy a carjack at Kragens to put in my trunk and one of the workers suggested because I had a heavier classic car that I should find out the weight before I purchase anything. Can anyone tell me what 66' Mustangs with a straight 6 engine typically weigh? ..or what kind of jack I should buy?....
You should cruise through certain parts of Oakland, you can get a carjack there all day long, andfor free....

Sorry,,, couldn't pass it up... Welcome!!

I still have the original scissor jack that came with the car. However, I bought a cheap hydraulic jack from wally world for less than 20 bux that just does a wonderful job, and it comes in a nice case.

or one of these, so you can have the car fall on your hear
Sad... I have actually owned cars that had those back in the day...
Even more sadly, I used the heck out of em in my day! (not on mustangs though)
