RE: Best Classic Mustang magazine?
Like many of you, I've been getting MM and M&F mags for years. I periodically go back and pull old ones off the shelf and reread...just to see what's changed.
The content of these mags has IMHO, deteriorated over the last several years. There used to be ongoing series about work you could do yourself. Now all the articles are for are products being hawked by the big suppliers. You almost never see a 'how to' that doesn't advertise someone's donated (or even purchased) product.
In addition, the advertisement page count seems to have gone up. Less articles and more ads... so it seems.
Yeah, I know it's business..and nobody's forcing me to buy them. But they are the only two real mags for the classic mustang hobby and they have become total advertisements.

James, did you see the article in Mustang and Fords that I mentioned in my post? I think it came out about a year and a half ago and was called top 25 modifications to make to your mustang. When I added up the sum total of the moods it was over $35,000. Of course a lot of the moods were mutually exclusive because at least 3 of separate listings were R&P units from different makers, but still the article was all about advertising for the big companies. For me that article was the last straw and after being a loyal subscriber for many years I let my subscription laps. If you have never looked at an auto restorer, I highly recommend it.

mustangs and fords, mustang monthly BUT some of their tech articles suck as they dont go into detail and the same with car layouts, they will show a really nice restomod but dont even tell tire and wheel size............I thought super ford was the best and mustang illustrated was good too and they have been gone for years
