Default 1970 convertible clone

Hello.

Just wandering if anyone could tell me what engine size they would recommend to replace a 250 out of a 1970 Mustang convertible, with something with more power.

302, 351c?

Anyone have any links to clones made from convertibles?

I appreciate it,

basically anything would fit in athe engine bay of a 70, if you want a relaiable daily driver with some umph, a 302 would be good or you could stick the cleveland in there, thats a awesome motor, or if you want alot of power, something like a 427 or 429 would fit

Whether it is a coupe, sportroof or a convertible makes no difference regarding the engine. You have an engine bay large enough to accept a wide range of engines, but we need to know what you plan to do with the car. You can put in a small block V8 or you can put in a large block V8. Obviously there is no replacement for displacement.

Thanks for the responses!

Basically, a newbie to the forum... hehe and I am thinking about buying a 1970 Mustang with the 250 in it and then having it as a project car. I would have someone else do the mechanical, which is why I asked about the motor. My end goal for this car would be more of a daily driver, but since I work from home I imagine I wouldn't put more than 50 miles a week on the car. I would also like to have something a bit more mean sounding, but not too much, kind of leaning towards the 351.

Thoughts?
