I also had a C6 from a Ford pickup rebuilt with a mild shift kit and swaped the shift lever to work with the factory shifter. I had an aluminum driveshaft made to connect the C6 to the 9"...

I have added sub-frame connectors but they do go thru the rear floor pan.

I found a picture of my 67 from 93 when I had the stock 460 in it. I had an 85 GT air cleaner on it and a Holley 750, other than that it was stock. It had the C6 but not rebuilt. It leaked bad. I still had the original 8" rear then too. Notice one of many parts cars ( a 68 with factory air) sitting off to the side and my 80 4-banger driver behind it.

I found another picture from a few years ago. This was taken at Beach Bend drag strip in Bowling Green KY next to my friends 70 Boss he has had since 74!
My car had the 429 by then and the 9" as well as the 4 wheel disc brakes. I had just primed it so it would be one color (by request of my wife).

The gauges look pretty cool at night. I had to take it back a part and add a bulb near the Tach as it had a dark spot but now it looks great. I'm happy with it and I have only about $350 in the whole conversion.

It has been a big job but I do a little here and there when I have time and money.

It is currently in the body shop. The only work I haven't done myself was getting all the glass to fit perfect (or close to perfect anyway). It has been final primed and they need to block sand, then we completly take it aprt agian to paint the jams, under the hood, trunk doors, etc. then they will "panel" paint it and we put it back together. It could be a few more weeks.

This picture I found of a car on ebay is close to what mine will look like. I have filled in the light notches in the lower opening and I will have a 67 Shelby grille with inboard lights. I my go with black strips, not sure yet. I have also thought about using the 07 California Special stripe that fades away and change it to GT/SC for "super coupe" instaed of Cali Special...
