You cant just bore a302 to a 347, it requires a different crank, rods and pistons. If you dont plan to spend alot of money, headers, performer intake with a 570 avenger and a little steeper gear. 3.55 or so would be good. Stick or auto?
i didnt bore it the guy i bought it from did. amnd its a auto

with the new engine its about 4,00 miles. its a daily driver. and i dont want to spend that much. not to cheap but not to expensive considering im paying for it and im only 16 working part-time with minimum wage
Sounds like you are off to a good start already. Have any pictures of the engine? Do you know what cam is in it? Who built it?

Before anyone can really recommend improvements, we need to know exactly what you have. Otherwise any recommendations may be a step backwards. If you are building a daily driver I would caution against going too radical with the engine. An engine that hardly idles, gets 5 miles per gallon, and doesn't make any power until 3000 RPM isn't all that fun to live with on the street.

Some good pictures of the engine with the air cleaner off would answer a lot of questions.
alright ill take some today and post them when i get home from work around 8.
im warning you its really dirty[&:]

you can get a nice carb, about a 550cfm for a 347, have the jets bored and tune it up nice.
