steering column removal

How do i remove the steering column on a 66 coupe manual steering.Not just the tube the whole thing?

Theshaft is part of the steering box - you remove the steering box to get it out after the tube comes off.

its a bitch, it took me forever to get that thing out

get the steering wheel off then just start taking stuff apart, pull the shaft out with the box

i was gonna clean up all the wiring under the dash and i figured itd be easier with it out.. o well i did a decent job.
