I'm far too poor/stingy to buy a Currie or Strange... I usually start looking in junkyards and swap meets. Course you'd be hard pressed to find a direct bolt in... but if you do it's way cheaper to clean up an old one than to get a fresh aftermarket piece. The rear-end I stuck in my '68 for example is like an inch longer which is no big deal at all but the spring perches did have to be cut off and moved in a bit, that's likely about as close as you'd come to a bolt in with that route, If you can weld or have a buddy that can do it (like I did) that's a 1 hour job. Beyond that it was grinding and painting.

Haven't looked to see how price competitive, but there's a guy on ebay that has 9" housings for around 300.00 Think a set of moser axles are another 2-300, have not idea on customer service or anything, have just seen his auctions....

Two months ago I think, Mustang Monthly had a crate rear on the cover. It was the mag with the Bullit on the cover I believe. I'm not in the market, so I didnt pay attention to the price, sorry.

Here's his qoute for me...

Nic-
Here is what we can do on a complete 9" Ford Rearend for your 67 Mustang:

$650 - 9" Housing/Axle Package (67 Mustang)
- Moser Axles, Axle Bearings, Wheel Studs, & Retainers
- 31 Spline, 5 on 4-1/2" Bolt Pattern, 1/2" Studs
$820 - Center Section (Assembled)
- New 31 Spline Trac-Lock Posi
- New Motive Performance Gears (3.50)
- New Timken USA Bearings
$369 - 11" Disc Brake Kit w/ Parking Brake ($239 w/out parking brake)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$1839 - TOTAL

This would be a complete 31 spline setup with your choice of gear ratio. We use new Moser axles (not factory re-splines). We also use new trac-lock posi units, not torque-lock units (modified open carrier) like others have been selling on eBay.

This center section would be good up to 500HP. If you plan on having more than that you will want to go to an aftermarket setup. It would be $1125 instead of $820 for a complete center with the Strange Nodular Iron S-Case, Aluminum or Iron Daytona Pinion Support, 1350 Steel Yoke, Motive Performance Gears, 31 Spline Trac-Lock Posi, & Timken (USA) Bearings. ALL NEW & ASSEMBLED!

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
BRYDON
