steering wheel
im trying to replace my turn signal switch in my 65 but when i tried to take the wheel off with the puller i found the holes where the bolts go one was stripped . im wondering if i should drill and tap the hole or is there some other way to get the wheel off
Jim has suggested the best way. You can give the loosened steering shaft a pop with the hammer (loosened nut still on the shaft) and wiggle the wheel while you do it ( need 4 hands) and sometise the force of the spring will pop the wheel off (never been my luck though)
And if you do replace the steering wheel, replace it with a Lecarra. Might as well run with the big dawgs. http://www.lecarra.com/
