[X(]OK, I order a rebuilt C4 for my basically OEM68 289 from Advance Auto. THREE WEEKS later it comes in. Take it to the shop, go to install, wrong torque converter. Take the torque converter back, they say they located one. Go down, pick up the new one. BINGO, wrong one again, doesn't even fit over the shaft.

The folks at Advance have been great to deal with and I can't blam them. Is there something magical about getting the right converter?
