We do not currently have any "new moderators".

JamesW is currently the section moderator for the classic section, and I believe that the only member of the staff without a mustang right now is me.

Mine is gone now Pat.
But to answer the question. I have been building cars since I was 16(now 32)and have owned a few Stangs in the past (and one 71 Cougar, which is almost a Stang). My most recent Stang was a 94 GT, but over the last few years I built a couple NMRA race cars. I also was/am a chassis fabricator (as in tube chassis). My knowledge is more towards the performance end of the spectrum. BTW look at my join date and post count, I'm not exactly new

and for those who wondered..
my first vehicle was a 1961 falcon with a 302 in it...fun little car, but someone offered me much more than i had in it, and it was gone...i am currently in the process of putting together a 1971 dodge demon 340. i had been looking at classic mustangs, and teminators, but i got a deal on the demon that i couldnt pass up.

Hey Ariel,

As ROTM said, I'm currently the only 'assigned' Classics Section Mod, meaning that's my primary location. Like most of you tho, I have a full time job and family and only get to spend afew of hours a day here. Glen, being retired was able to devote a lot of time to the section....probably spent more time logged on than anyone, save the Admins. It was not uncommon to find he'd be posting at 3am.

So since I'm only part time, there are several other Mods who have volunteered to help moderate throughoutthe day. They will all be popping in from time to time to catch up and take care of any issues. If done right, it should all be invisible to you.

There will be another Section Mod assigned... the Admins are busily scrubbing through all the resumes as we speak [&:].

Currently, we have three Mustangs. My wife drives my "old" ride - a 2005 4.0L V6/auto vert. My daily driver is a 2006 Mustang coupe with 4.0L/5speed and Pony Package. My best time with it is a 14.653 @ 94.14mph.

But my favorite Mustang is my '66 coupe. My dad bought it brand new in the Fall of '66. We all learned to drive on it, and it was my daily driver from high school 'til about 5 yars ago. It was a restomod before they coined the term. It's worked a bit, and I get much enjoyment when I drive her. It would take little work to put her on the road regularly. Our 11yo son thinks he's gonna drive it when he's 16, but he and I will find another project to work on together to give him an appreciation for owning acar and the knowledge to work on it himself.
