another thing about 67

Negative, this was not a standard option. Can't recall what option package it was included in, but it was definitely an option.

My car is a late 67 with no lettering, and I bet fastbackford's is too.
Ok my mustang is an Early Year 67 and it doesnt have them. Does that mean someone took off the letters or could they have swapped the hoods? Where can i find the Date on the good?
If the letters on the hood was an option, I will be very surprised. My 67 coop was as plain as they come and it had the letters. The only options on it that I can tell are an automatic transition, radio and a remote control driver side view mirror. And, I could be wrong about the mirror being an option.
Ford was bad about being inconsistent on the assembly line. They may have ran out of 67 hoods in some locations and simply started using the 68 hoods.
P.S. I like the point about closing the hood by the letters. Next time my hood has some paint on it, I may start using that technique.
