There was a display for a media blaster at the Yellow Rose Show a couple of weeks ago. I don't recall their name tho.

Try hitting up the North Texas Mustang Club ...email the show coordinator and I bet he'll have their name.

best way to do media blasting is to strip the car to a bare shell if it will come off take it off.

I had mine blasted and left the whole suspension and drivetrain. But the whole outside and inside was stripped (minus steering column and wheel). If the blasters are competent, they can point the blaster only where you want them to point it...

But I would at least recommend stripping the exterior and interior, they can cover up the wheels and engine, and don't have to blast undercarriage. However the perfect way to do it would be to have a bare shell on a rotissery so they can get underneath it as well. But sometimes thats not an option lol.

good luck finding in place near you

Mine was stripped down to a rolling shell. I had it done almost 4 years ago, and sand is still falling down under the dash & in the trunk!!

I have researched media, sand, and soda. I think media is the best because it offers the least amount of stress on the material that is being stripped, and the beads of plastic used are much larger than sand or the soda variety. So, does any one know of a media blasting place in Oklahoma? I found the NTMC and I'm waiting on a reply. Any help would be great. Also, what kind of price does blasting come with? Thanks again guys.

I sand blasted mine in my garage. I built my rotisserie for under 300 bucks. I used a harbor freight blaster. If I had to do it all over again I would pay the 500 bucks to have someone do it for me unless I had the room. A two car garage is not the place to do it in. If you have the choice you should strip it down to the bare necessities.

that's pretty cool. So you think it's about 500 to have it blasted? Should I take the fendes, trunk lid and hood off, or can they do a pretty good job with all that attatched? I noticed yours is stripped down to it's skivvies.
