I wish I had a car like that in high school. My ol man handed me a screwdriver to START a pinto wagon. Then after starting, it convienently had to pull double duty as the shifter[&o]

One night my dad got drunk and tried to weld in the barn, caught it on fire, and while he was trying to get his junk out of the barn, my brother and I pushed the pinto INTO the barn. Man, he was pissed Good times.
That's a pretty funny story, sounds like my dad's old Tracer. I hear you on Lawton, Oklahoma sucking though. How do you think I felt, I had to live in Altus for 6 years. Only plus side is the 75 mph speed limit and probably the most lax state police in the country. Wish I could say the same out here in Maryland now. I can't go to the gas station without hitting 3 speed traps.

Good thinking.

Nearly 15 years later, I'm wishing I took pictures of me with my1965 when I was still in high school.[:@]

I don't look that much older now, but it would kinda give it a better history, especially in 20+ years from now, when I still have it.
eh hem - 26 years after graduation, and I still have mine! Here's a pic from the high school era:

and how it looks today after a ground up restomod:

I call her my High School Sweetheart - since I was a gearhead in school.

The speed limit is not bad, I just dont like having to pay to use it. And the road still sucks, so where is all of the toll money going?
