what exactly is a stroker kit?

the simple question here is just how it sounds. what is a stroker kit? sorry if that is a dumb question. but i want to know what is included in most typical 331 and 347 stroker kits? and what is the differance in a cast kit?

A stroker kit comes with a different crank, and most likely different pistons and connecting rods. Some kits are designed to work with stock pistons. It really depends on the kit, but most of the time those three things are different.

stroke is based on the crank not the piston.

The crank determines the stroke of the piston.

and what is the differance in a cast kit?
Cast vs forged is a matter of weight and strength. The lower the weight and higher the strength, the more RPMs you can safely turn on a properly balanced engine.
