Default SubFrame Connectors

How is the best way to install weld in subframe connectors? Before or after all body panels are fitted? Jacked up off the ground or not? If so, in what jacking configuration? I've heard many different "proper" ways to install these without distorting the body fitment.

In disagreement with the previous poster, one would think that the subframe connectors should be welded in with all of the weight on the body to control torque shifting on the uniframe body (that's how I would do it anyway). Place the car on a drive on lift (like a muffle shop uses) so all the weight is on the tires..

But doing it that way makes any sag you have now permanent. I'd move the jack stands around to achieve the best door reveal and easiest opening/closing possible, then weld them up.

My thoughts are if I jack up the car and place the jack stands under where the load is to be carried, close to the rear axle and around themotor mounts, then fit the fenders, hood, and the rest of the gaps, then weld in the connectors. When I lower the car, everything should stay put. Is this correct thinking?

I think the most important thing is that the car is flat and level. Mine were done on a 4 post lift.
