I have 2 8" rears for my car. 1 is currently under there and has 4 lugs. The other is a 5 lug 8" rear. I am looking at doing a fox body 5.0/t5 swap, so the 8.8 was just an idea since it will probably come with the motor/trans!

If you are getting everything in a package, I would do it. It may take a little bit of work, but I think you will be happy with the results.

 

if its a 65 4 lug its not a 8 inch its a 7.5

 

I have no clue if it is actually from 65! How can I identify a 7.5 versus an 8"? Actually, it doesn't even matter because that is the 1 rear end that isn't even an option!
