Now its the starter solenoid! I just cant win..
Well I put the new battery in and now the starter solenoid dont want to work. I checked it with my multimeter and my wife turned the key to start and I got no juice to the right side of the solenoid.. Soo.. I have one on hold at Kragen and will pick it up after work today and hopefully get the darned thing started..
Patience dude, you'll get there.
I know you've been battling this for a few days. Do yourself a favor and don't be in too big of a hurry. Before you try again, recheck all your fluids and all, I'm sure you've done this but do it again. When youare finally ready, take a deep breath and turn the key, but have someone around with a fire extinguisher and make sure they look for any signs of gas or oil leak once it's fired up.
We're pulling for you.

Hang in there man! Remember, you'll be laughing about this with your friends later, so why not right now?
Besides, once you've found Mustang Nirvana, I will need your help calming down when mine doesn't start...

I went through the very same situation a few months ago, except mine was the left side of the solenoid. I played around with the washer location and got my power back. Guess my issue was lack of a decent seal.

Since you used the multimeter, I'm assuming that you were making sure you were getting 12V to the left 'S' post on the solenoid, correct? An easy test to see if a solenoid is closing (and to crank the engine fromunder the hood)is to touch a screwdriver across the battery post on the solenoid and the 'S' post. It is basically the trailer way instead of using a remote starter switch.
