Default 67 Alternator

So I am thinking about going to the single wire alternator, what are the benefits, does it just delete the need for the regulator. Also where is the best place to buy these? Thanks

I use the powermaster 140 amp on my 67, yes you remove the regulator and hook up one wire, I have run 2 elecfans, efi, stereo, headlights on and with everything on the headlights dont dim at all, the only thing with the one wires is you have to hit 1500 rpm once for the alternator to turn on, if you just turned the key and let it idle the alt would not be charging, they are great, simple and..............GM.........DOUGH! but a great easy upgrade, oh yea your ammeter guage wont work, but I hear theres a way to wire it......

So what kind of conversion kit do you need to make this fit the older model mustangs, or is there any. I could not find any on summit?
