Default Can a C4 leak from speedo cable input?

If the cable comes loose, can the tranny leak from there?
I haven't taken a look yet, but I noticed my speedometer isn't working. Many years ago the speedo cable was held in place with a big glob of silicon because the head snapped off the bolt holding the cable clip.

I'm thinking the cable may have snapped, though, because I put in a new brake line and decided to zip tie the speedo cable a little further from the exhaust. Maybe I made too tight a bend in the cable bc it was a little long...

YES it can leak from there but I doubt its leaking Through the cable, more likely leaking fromwhere the cable inserts into the tranny.Another spot on the older C4's is the vent on the top rightsideof the tranny( I think the right side?).Sometimes if you overfill it or park it at an extreme angle it will leak from there.

Thanks. I wasn't thinking of it leaking through the cable, but around it where it was glued in place. Still, I better tap out the busted screw and put the cable in properly, if I don't have to pull the tranny to do it right..
