From what I understand, the LEDs do not burn out.
They can 'burn out' but from what I've seen on Jeeps, each of the many small LED's can fail individually so you won't just suddenly be without a light like you will with an incandescent bulb.

Yeah personally I was really impressed with both the quality of mustang project LEDs and the level of customer service I experienced with them when I did run into a hitch. Now, I believe there was nothing defective about their product... I think it was my skill level in installation that was defective!!! However, Rick at Mustang Project was very patient with me, walking me through the install process & troubleshooting over the phone and ultimately sending me a replacement unit for the right rear with no extra S&H charges to make sure I did not have any problems with their product.
They really raised the bar in what I would like to expect from a vendor. That is why I recommend their products so highly.

The experience you describe with the little LED bulbs, andrewmp6, sounds like I would have expected. I just never tried those out because I really like the sequentials and heard so much good stuff on this forum about Mustang Project. Plus, I wanted to make sure I was visible on the road at night because having some racing dumbass slam into the back of my baby because he couldnt see me was not my idea of a good time. Personally when it comes to "safety upgrades", I would rather splurge for the best.

And I stand corrected about the LEDs burning out... It apparently does happen. But my understanding is that they will last a LONG time.

Thanks for all the info, sounds like I'll be upgrading to a set of these. I personally don't like the sequential so will just be stock style flash, but NPD has them also the regular flash ones are $110.

I know Mustang Project also has non-sequential ones. You might have to call them if you cant find them easily on their website. if you order from another source, make sure you get ones that screw right into the original light bulb housing unless you want to do a bunch of extra wiring work. MP is the only brand that I am familiar with but there may be others that have a similar product.
Good luck and let us know how they work out!
