Ok, So just recently after getting the brakes redone ... like the entire brake assembly from rotor to whatver ..

There is a major shaking problem now .. before .. i would have to brake deeply! .. now that i dont .

The car shakes when i brake . ALOT! ..

And i have a knocking noise that sounds very bad!!

All this is in of course a 66 I6

Need help! .. thanks

Did they resurface the rotors or did they just slap on new pads? The original pads and the rotors were worn together and if you replace the pads with out truing up the rotors it will shimmy every time. Also how did you seat the pads? If you went out and did a bunch of panic stops or road the brakes, than you may have over heated the rotors and warped them. Justs some thoughts, but need more info to better diagnose the problem

Well I am not some one else but here is some more info on that "knocking noise” try removing the tire spinning the wheel and than have some hit the brakes well you watch the tire to see if you can spot any thing out of the ordinary. Also what kind of shape are your LCAs and strut rod bushings in. If the strut rod bushings are bad that can cause a popping sound when the brakes are applied. Also if the LCA are older some times the metal on the ends collapse a bit allowing the LCA to move for and aft which can also cause noise during braking.
