Default Steering help anyone?

Does anyone have experience with the bearings that go right behing the steering wheel onto the shaft? Assuming I have the right pieces, Im confused as to how to install them. I have a white plastic piece that looks like a collar and a metal piece that looks more like a standard bearing. Apparently these keep the shaft straight instead of letting it have a 1/2" "give" in all directions.

Thanks guys!!

I think your talking about the bushing that supports the steering shaft right where it exits the column and attaches to the wheel right?

Im not totally sure on this but it looks like the bushing (brass i think?) was retained by the white collar. once free the whole thing should slide off the end of the shaft. I might be way off on this but thats what i remember seeing.

Good Luck

Im trying to put them on, not take them off. I dont see how it would stop it from moving side to side, it doesnt seem to slide into any set place or anything.
