I painted my block and heads as a unit, and also painted the water pump and timing cover to match. It was definitely more than one can, and I layed it down with multiple light passes to get even coverage without dripping, so there was probably a fair amount of waste. I want to say 2 cans, I just can't remember exactly.

Yea,, I forgot to mention that as you could see, I painted my intake seperately with some aluminum colored high temp stuff and my fan too.. Then I painted the valve covers black.. So I guess I did only paint about half as much as you did.. But it came out really well,, too bad I forgot to get a pic before I dropped it into the car.. [:@] I was upset about that..

Now thats pretty!! How is that intake treating you? I didnt paint my timing cover because I liked the way the raw aluminum looked after they bead blasted it..

Valve covers are Gold , Fan Black , spacer gold , Oil Pan is gold , the Oil pan bolt heads are blue , went back with original valve covers , couldn't keep the chrome ones tight , engine looks great , gets lots of complements all the On my car and my engine , every body that sees her asks me if she is forsale I have to turn them down , one reason is she is one of the very FSTBK's ever built

One other thing. Use a couple of the halogen shop lights to help bake the paint on. It also helps to give it the flowed on look.

I used Plasti-Kote Old Ford Blue high temp engine paint. It wasn'tactually quite that shiny, it was mostly theflash.

And I love the intake Weiand claims off-idle to 6800, and I have no problems running the engine from 1500-6200. It's a little dirtier now (as is everything else), but I still prefer the bare aluminum look for theintake.
