Traction bars will only cure wheel hop... wheel spinning needs stickier/wider tires and from the sounds of it maybe a driver mod too...
Adriver mod?..... your ridulous, idwax your small block. A buddy of mine just suggested some traction bars to hold the *** end down and i was curious to see what the experts thought about it, not your immature ***.
dude...you need to learn not to take things so seriously

Traction bars arent going to help a whole lot, not the bolt on kind that push on the spring anyway. As for wheel hop, don't the BB cars come with staggered rear shocks to control that? And nothing in the world is going to make a crappy tire hook. Probably the best traction aid... other than good tires.. are cal-tracs.

BTW, a 390 stang even with headers and intake, will be lucky to get into the mid 14's. Here are some vid caps of my vert vs a 390 cougar. The GF was driving or it wouldnt have even been this close.

I'll have to look for the vid.
LOL, that statement doesnt evendeserves a response.

The slapper bars with the snubber on the spring aren't that great, the ones like Competition engineering's(CE) that are application specific have the snubber contacting under the spring eye, so there's no flexing at the snubber contact point. And CE Slide-A-Links are like Cal Tracs, only they can be adjusted to change pinion angle and preload

hahaha i love it. i love it, i love it, man 69stang390 you seem , no offense intended, to be from the north or at least above the mason-dickson line, the reason i say is because your so damn high strung, personally i find it hilarious, but on that note i will say that a big block build RIGHT will eat a small block for breakfast, lunch, dinner, &"fourth meal" everyday, all day, anyday, but it HAS to be build stricktly for drag racing and high RPM's

you bought a alum block and left it a 390 rofl sure.traction bars and a watts link will help but nothing beats a 4 link with a panhard for drag racing.

So, you dont know who made the aluminum block? Just trying to figure out why you'd build a 351w when you have an all aluminum 390...

Either way, you're going to need better tires. Since you've had it at the track already, what does it run and what are the 60ft times? Then compare them after you put the bars on.

BTW, this is what a BB head SHOULD look like. Going on my 557" BB
