I love the imports you see using a 4 or 5 point no cage and they mount the shoulder belts to one of the old backseat bolts.

Whats holding you from sliding in a 4 point? The lateral part makes sense, but not the down ward. You have the same belt going across as you would with a 3 point or traditional lap. I am curious to everyones response because I was looking into this. I dont want to eat my wheel.
I was referring to your torso moving laterally and then pretty much having to rotate about the hip point into a sort of laying-down position. Once your shoulderscan't make that horizontal move due to a shoulder harness belt, you can't "duck" down either (voluntarily or otherwise).

'Submarining', or sliding down through the lap belt is something else (and why there are 5 and 6 point harnesses).

While we are on the subject... i have a 72 with no plans to instal a roll cage in it but the added safety of some sort sholder belt or something would really be nice to keep me from eating my stearing wheel[>:].. do they make anything for this aplication thats actually going to do any good or should i just fabricate some sort of rollbar or something to attach it to? Any ideas? if it matters a have the stock seats and should be ordering some Summit Racing ones (its just cheaper than rebuilding the stock ones right now) Any help would be apreciated
