the exp 500 was one of the shelby coupe prototypes made.tarafield starting to look sweet hope you get it finshed soon.
When I started this project back in 1990, the Green Hornet was my inspiration. My favorite car of all time is the 68 GT500KR convertible. Since I had a coupe I figured I would make my own version of the Green Hornet. I started the conversion and then saw the Eleanor in the remake adn decided to go with that front end instead of the 68.

I did make a lot of progress today but I did get both rear quarter windows cleaned up and installed. I put the plugs in and installed the alternator. Pulled all the chrome trim out of storage (it's been off since 1990). Started installing some weather strip to.

I love that Eleanore coupe look. My buddies and I have talked about what the next project would be and it would be a coupe or vert Eleanore style...Nice to see your progress..

Awwww the beloved Lima series engines.... My favorite by far ! Looks like it ought to be a lot of fun. As for the Shelby coupes, I think I'd rather have one of the Terlinguacoupes thanabout any other Shelby. I can guarantee you that you'd never have another one beside you at a car show

Hey, thanks guys. Weird it might be. And yes I'm probably going to have the only one. I have grown partial to the 429 myself. It's big and heavy but it will smokem" all day!
The intereior will be relatively stock. I did add a factory tach sorta, a 67 Cougar tach and white face gauges. The seats and door panels are stock (repop). I do have a "crusier" console.

Nothing weird about your car. Its very nice. I would deem it as a "Standout", and I mean that in a Good way. A little work on those 429 heads and wow. Not only will you have the ponys, but the torquewill bethe real treat.Nice looking ride.

Thanks Evil,
That's a compliment coming from a guy with all the nice Mustangs you have! Not that the other compliments are any less! All the support is great. It's nice when others compliment the work and vision even though that's not why I'm doing it.

a few more pics...

I got 'em and the side skirts too, just haven't put them on yet. I went with the "bolt-on" look and all the stuff does bolt on.
