Default Too Much Carb???????

That's exactly my question. I played around with my car this weekend and I'm wondering if having a double pumper with mechanical secondaries is not the best thing. One problem is my car is missingthe timing pointer,so I'm kinda guessing. I need to get one ASAP. I advanced my timing from 25 - 35 degrees. Kept it conservative since I have no pointer. Definitely improved the performance.
My carb is the only issue I have. It does'nt bog at all, but I am still leary. What do you guys think? Look at my mods and feel free to make suggestionsor express opinions.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

If I was shopping for one, I'd look for a 600, but if you're not having issuess I wouldn't worry about it

I assume you mean you advanced your total advance from 25 to 35....what is your initial set at?
And why do you think you have a problem with the carb?

That's where I had to guess with no timing pointer. It was at 25, guestimate and went to 35. Not positive,so kept it conservative.

I'm just thinking the car is still a dog. Maybe I'm wrong, that's why I'm throwing this out there. I had a 750 DP on it and when I swapped it definitely improved out of the hole performance.

Has the carb been tuned? You're gonna need to set the accelerator pumps and jets/power valve if you want it to run right. "Out of the box" is a total load of crap

You need to tune it.
First thing you need it a timing pointer.
Without properly set timing you can do severe damage to the motor.
