What if i had a set of decent heads on there...

I'm not exactly sure what i mean by decent..but some mild performance heads that aren't 40 years old.

would i be sitting above 200rwhp according to *everyone* on the forums?

yes...there is actually an article out there (not sure where) where they just put a set of AFR heads and a cam in a 302 and get just about 400hp out of it. im not sure if it was crank hp or rwhp though. but yes, it is possible. 200hp in a 2800lb will still give you pleanty of kick though. thats about where i am at and it can roast the tires pretty easy.

Most definitely. A set ofAFR 165s for example,(withand appropriate cam)I would revise your figure to around the 250 rwhp figure. The stock heads are very restrictive, especially on the exhaust side.

About any head you can find on the market can get you significant gains over your stock heads easy. Look up AFR heads, I have my eyes on the 165cc heads.

I don't have them[sm=smiley19.gif], but Im led to belive they about as good as they get for the 289/302. If you go up to a 347 or 351, the 185's are the go.
