Our backwards resto....66 vert!
sorry i did not make the exhaust from scratch, i bought a off the shelf system from flowmaster, but it had to be cut and modded for a convertible and for the rear to exit the valance,...didnt want to anyone thinking i fabbed that up from scratch
well little update, sorry for the lack there of,....
installed new master cylinder rod, and got 100% free play out of me pedal, bleed the brakes and works, but pedal is still lower then i want or feel comfortable with,...i ended up bleeding the brakes again a couple days later and even more air came out,..so i let them sit for about 4 more days and will bleed again this weekend,..i just think there is still alot of air in the system,..atleast i hope,...
installed the exhaust, and kinda dissapointed, i dont know if running headers was so loud that now this seams so quiet?, i dont know, but all and all, i love the way the exhaust came out and sounds,..just wish it was a bit louder,...
the garage where i was storing the car is no longer, my one year deal was over, so i moved the car to a 2 car garage now with nothing in it but the stang, so double the amount of work space!, funny story,...
the friend who came over to scoop the car up and load it on his trailor,...while in the process his winch broke,..so we have to use straps to pull it up on the trailor which took forever,....so when we got to the new garage he tells me ok "this is it, your first time moving the car under its own power",...my response "your Fing nuts", his response "well im not using the straps to get that thing back down, so either you drive it off, or im leaving the trailor", my reponse "OK...?"
so i started her up and for the first time put her in gear and nothing happens,..hahaha, great,..but i think the shift rod has to be adjusted a bit,..but wiggled it a bit,..and backed her right off and drove it about 200 feet under its own power,...was super stoked but super nervous,....
i am heading over tomorrow and finish some little stuff and will try to grab a little video

THis is great. i am doing the same as you almost the same timing. i am not documenting it though. i have my 66 running sweet but i had to get a new radiator. the stock one was not doing it. i hope to have it drivable in the next week.
WOW thats all I can say. I just read your whole post, and boy it was great. I hope my fastback restoration goes that great. I'll start a thread for it when I start on it. More pics.

this is the car loaded up and ready for transport,..good to have friends with trucks and trailors,...
in its new home with the exhaust all finished,...
the kid who towed the car has the dream garage,...his parents bought a hosue a long time ago and the previous owner ran a classic car restoration shop out of his backyard,..the garage will hold 8-10 cars and he left more tools, parts, engines, trannys, lifts, etc then you can think about,...
he owns a 67 mustang vert, 68 mustang coupe, 73 firebird, 69 GTO (that we picked up on the way home from dropping off the mustang, and had slips from the track showing LOW 11's), 5x? lincoln, and some other OLD OLD car i dont know,...
but here is pics of GTO he scooped up
