well so when i say im president of the **** luck club when it comes to getting parts, i mean it,...
everything was going great till today,..i went over to work on the car for a bit,..started right up and backed it out of the garage only to find 2 quarts of motor oil on the garage floor coming out of the bellhousing AGAIN!, i became instantly sick to my ****ing stomache and seriously threw a adjustable wrench so hard it stuck in the dry wall,...
my plan now is to finished hanging the new doors, fenders, hood, front and make it a whole car and it will be listed for sale on craigslist or ebay,...so if anyone is interested please let me know,...i can not deal with this again and do not have the patience to do so,...
i have my eyes open on ebay and craigslist for a new engine,...but its on the back of my mind, ij ust want to finish the car up and sell it,...my patience has run out along with my motivation and whatever else,...
the lawyer can not do much more for me, and i am spending to much money trying to fix the problem,..i am going backwards now,...this will be about 600$ just in lost fluid alone if anyone can understand where i am coming from,..
i will hang doors, feners, hood, front,..weld in new wheel houses and quaters and it will hit the market,...

Not trying to be a smart **** about it. But it fits well with the thread title!!!
I hate seeing you give up on something that you have worked so hard on. You have really built an amazing car. Best of luck either way.

thank you, but i have just about made up my mind, the doors came in today, so they will be hung along with fenders, hood, and front end, and on the market it goes,...i just cant do it anymore,...nor do i have the funds to source another engine when i am in the process of buying a new home,...
smart man...a home is more important than your toys, and im willing to bet your wife will appreciate that decision, im not even married and my gf complains about how much time and money i spend on my stang. but im still young and quite frankly, ill toss the girl before the car at this point in my life
Smart move would be to let it sit until you are settled in the new house. Then pull the engine, take it to a local machine shop. Let them fix it, then run it on a dyno.
While the engine is out, throw a quicky paint job on it.
Then stuff the motor, and sell it.
Otherwise, you will loose some serious money. People don't want to spend money on something that looks like a salvage job, and has unresolved issues.
Sell it as is, you'll be lucky to get $8K. Fix the engine, and toss a cheapy paint job, and sell it for $20K. Can't think it would be too hard to hang loose for a few months, to salvage about $8K.

well, had a chance to remove the old rusted door, it was baaaad, the hinges were shot and nothing really worked in it,...took me about 2 hours to remove all the guts from the old door and glass, and about 30 minutes to reinstall it,...being super careful not to break the glass,...and trying to remember where and how everything went,...
i think i got super lucky with the fit of this after market el cheapo japan sheet metal,..everyone says how bad this stuff fits and its hit or miss,...i bought the lowest grade fenders i could find at 90$ each and the door was mid grade at 250, and i didnt even fittle around with anything, i just bolted it up,...maybe the luck it turning a bit,...

the inner door sticker post needs to be lowered a tad, its pushing the door up a tad when it closes,...

there is a bracket that sits behind the fender and bolts to the side of the car to keep the fender to the side around the door area, well not knowing i left the passenger side bracket attached to the old fender when i trashed the old fender,...so now i need to sounds one of them, you can see the fender on the passenger side basically just hanging there

moving under its own power:devil:
