Default Lookin at a 66 Mustang

Hey guys im in the process of selling my 1986 Mustang 2.3L automatic w/ 34k miles
Im looking at the oldschoolMustangs for a new ride.

Ive got two choices -one is a 66 Coupe with a rebuilt 289, C4 race tranny, needs body, and interior work used to be a race car-its got a couple spots of rust, 4 wheel drum brakes, in primer, for $2,500

or

A 65 coupe, rebuilt 289, all the body work is done, its in primer, automatic, the interior is 70% there, 4 wheel drum brakes, $3,000
Let me know what you guys think

Assuming the body work was done right, DEFINITELY #2

#2,,, one reason: If it was a "race car" the tranny and rear are probaby beat to hell and the frame is most likely tweakedto go along with it..

What can I say that everyone else has not already said. #2 sounds like the way to go.
