I just got these 14x6.5 wheels for my 67 coupe. What's the widest tire that will fit on them.

215 or 225 would be about as wide as I'd try. The 225 will bulge a bit.
FYI, your rims are 165 mm wide, so a 225 tire would have 30 mm of bulge on each side of the rim, which is about an inch.

This is a 215-60-14 tire on my 14 X 6 inch wheel. 215 or maybe even 225 would work on your 6.5 inch wide wheel but you might have rubbing issues when turning ?
