Default Small block vs big block Toploader 4 speed?

I have a small block 289 with ~310 hp in a 73 Mustang, I had to replace my toploader. I am purchasing a big input/output toploader from a 427 Ford Truck. I already have an 11" clutch, other than the clutch disk what else do I need to replace to have this bolt right on?

Thanks!

Could be wrong, but I don't believe you can use an 11" clutch with a smallblock bellhousing. IIRC, everything else will be ok as long as you use a conversion pilot bushing, available from several Mustang wherehouses.

Output shaft have the same number of splines as your slip yoke? Shifter mount in the same location? Tail piece mount to the cross member in the same place?

Why do you have a 289 in a '73? Are you sure it's a toploader?

The input/output shafts will be different between the small-block and big-block. The trans-mount is unique for the 4-speed '71-'73 cars. The tailhousing is unique to the Mustang. A Ford truck with a toploader? 427? FE? Pics?
