Car started pulling to the left?
Yeah, a tie rod definately could have pulled out of the adjusting sleeve, that'd give one of the tires some wild toe in/out and cause it to pull. Also look and see if the eccentrics have slipped(the round washers with the offset bolt that hold the lca's to the frame). Regardless, I wouldn't drive it at ALL until you find out. You don't want a wheel coming half off the car while you're driving
UPDATE: Today I tried again to screw with the car to figure out the problem. I thought maybe the wheel bearing might be screwed, so I was taking 'em off and I grabbed the drum and pulled it. The whole suspension moved about a 1/2 inch. Then I knew what the problem was. Felt the backside of the upper control arms and the shims on the front side were laying on the frame. Opened the hood and there is about a 1/2" gap between the bolt and the fender wall. So much for taking the car to the Ford dealer for the alignment.
Anyway, since that is the problem, what else should I look for that may have been damaged by driving with it in that condition? There is a little bit of extra wear on the tire. The car is going back to ford on wednesday to be fixed, again.
