I'm curious what you do about registering something like that. Do they come with their own VIN numbers or do you have to transfer one from another car or something?
I was wondering that exact same thing yesterday - they can't have a VIN similar to Fords back in '67 - they must have their own otherwise someone could get fooled into thinking they're buying an original, when infact it's a repop.

I wonder if and how they addressed the cowl vent problem?

Seems like the titlequestion came up in a recent issue of Mustang Monthly; I'll try to find it tonight.

15k seems cheap at first. Until you remember all the stuff you have to buy that it doesn't come with. LIke glass, interior, and lots of other parts that don't get made.[:@]

Hmm... did I hear somebody say 'donor car'? Not too many of us have a '67 fastback they'd donate, tho.

Yeah they don't come with a VIN. That could be challenging getting one depending on where you live. I'm not sure but it sounds like it could be a hassle.

I understand that a MCO is with the body. Same as a kit car. In talking with my State Police typebuddies about this, they say that "50% 0F THE ORIGINAL CAR HAS TO BE USED" if its a re-body and someone plans to use the original VIN.Otherwise, a"Kit Car" tidle would be issued. Either way, they will make a nice car.
