Default shock tower replacement

hey, im looking at a mustang for sale and i was curious if anyone on here has experience in shock tower repair and approx. how much it would cost to do. the car, as you can see is entirely disassembled, and the one side has already been done. there is bracing on there and i believe the car is square, basically its like light prep work and the welding itself. im curious if any of you have an idea how much it would cost. this project is the factor in whether or not i get the car, any help is greatly appreciated

thanks,
brian

The entire inner fender and shock tower assembly can be bought for approx. $550 from most parts vendors. Then you have the labor to install. Hope this helps some.

yeah, the guy has the assemblies and everything, its just that he welded one on and not the other, he lost enthusiasm i think. im hoping someone will have some type of figure, its a real hinge point. like maybe there are som fabricators here and what they would charge for the process, or maybe the hourly rate or something

I'm no fab guy but I can't imagine it'd be more than 10 shop hrs @ 50/hr. Anybody got ideas. 2ndly, did he loose interest because it couldn't get done?

ps.... does middiepride refer to USNA? I'm class of 85.

thanks for some idea, i was just looking for other opinions, thats around what i was figuring. he said he has had the car for a number of years and he has lost interest in it. as far as i can tell, the other shock tower is ready to go, so i dontt think it was that he couldnt do it

ive been asked the question before, but no, its not referring to navy, im 16, lol. i play football and we're the middies. a friend of mine happens to be in boot camp right now tho, he should be back soon actually....
