any cherry picker can hold a small block V8 and a transmission.

I third, the pull them together call. (otherwise you need to figure out how to keep the front of the tranny level with the engine unbolted. Also IMO, you really need to remove the hood (at the upper hinges) in order to get a good position on the engine hoist (so that you can jack the engine high enough to clear the front rad support). Mark the hood position in reference to the hinge bolts so it will line up when it goes back on. You also may want to think about leaving the wiring on the engine and disconnecting it from the firewall plugs and alternator harness plugs in order to make it easy to put it back in the right place, the plastic wire holders are cheap enough.

well guys thank you for all the help, took just about a hour and pulled them seperatly,...i will have pics up in my build thread,....thank you again for making it so easy,....
