JMD,
i got the carb installed after a couple of months and tuned as well, and the 67 runs like a dream now...now i just need to fab up some linkage for it. anybody got any ideas on what kind i should use to get the best results? it shouldn't take me more than an hour to fab up a couple diffrent kinds to try out.

I modified the original 6 cyl linkage as pictured, (a few tweaks and bends aside), and then used an internally threaded rod and a couple of small heim joints to hook it to the carburator. It works great....

Oh, I am glad that carb worked for you! It makes my day!

Take care!!

it seems fairly simple, and more reliable than a spring..

I followed that link to the Ford Muscle page, I have a 750 DP and a long S shaped linkage just like the one pictured. What exactly am I looking for in the case of my original S shaped linkage not doing it's job? My car runs great at the moment and I already get really really crappy gas milage….

For the carb you have you will hook the wire toward the center of the elec choke housing up to a switched positive source other than your coil. the wire toward the outside goes to ground.

I have hooked the + terminal to the + side of the coil without issue, but you are not supposed to do this... but it was quick and convenient for me once... or so...
