Default My new heart...

Here is a link to some pictures I took of my new engine
http://community.webshots.com/album/221160713DSMOfh

I have a fresh 302 with some E7 heads (62cc) a crain energiser cam (.266 dur and .469lift), edelbrock intake (performer) and carb (600cfm), long tubed headers with dules all the way out (no X or H pipe) at 2.5", and a Mallory unilite dizy.

So what do you guys think? I havn't gotten to drive her yet but she sounds REALLY smooth which makes me happy.

It'll drive well. Save up for some good heads and a bigger cam/intake.

Awesome!

Was it easy to bolt the trans and engine back together when they were in the car? I am thinking of doing that tonight, rather than putting them in as one peice.

I dono if I got lucky or what but yes it the engine and trany went together quite easily.

This build was for a reliable DD until I can save enough money and go to town on my 289 that I took out of the car. The next and only other project that I will do to this engine will be full roller rockers with a 1.7 ratio to give me a little more lift.

I did find out after I put the engine in that one of the pistons was collapsed and causing a really bad knock...

The E7 heads (paid $20 for the cores) I got were great compared to the E5 (67-70cc and flow like crap) heads that came with the engine and I still don't know enough about head flow vs. cam selection to know what I am doing but out of what I hear its a decent cam for what I have... and I figure with the increased ratio/rollers it will be a quick enough car for the time being...

I hate to be one of those people who ask this question... BUT!!! what do you guys think I could expect to the wheels?... I was thinking 225ish...
