Default C4 Stuck in forward gear?

I installed a B&M Transpak, withthe transmissionout of the vehicle... Reinstalled the tranny, poured in 5 quarts of type F, fired up the car - and now it seems to be "stuck" in one of the forward gears Every gear selection the cargoes forward, even park until it hits the lock. Its a 1970 Mustang, also installed a B&M cooler. It also seemslike itmay be overheating, after less than five minutes running in cold weather the cooler was already hot.Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm not that familiar with b&m but my first question is when you dropped the pan did you find metal or material. Second question before you put the valve body back in did you check the shift valves to see if they were moving. Sometimes they get stuck. That's my best guess. Try that first. Does it shift at all?

Is it shifting at all? Or does it seem to just be hung up in a forward gear? Sounds like something is stuck as in probably a shifting valve but I am by no means a transmission expert!Good Luck with it!![sm=lildevil.gif]

Nope, no chunks of anything came out when I tore it apart...As far as checking the valves, everything seemed to work properly when I put it back together, butI could be wrong!I think I'm gonna drop the valve body again, someone else suggested the linkage inside maybe misaligned? Thanks, and nice ride! =D
