Default 302 Motor Mount

I'm restoring a '69 Hardtop, and though I expect to get a smoother ride than pre-resto I'm still hesitant about the final results...

Is there a way to change the stock mount for a hydraulic or at least a more modern one? If so, which one would you reccomend?

Don't see any major problems with the stock style mounts, unless you're running a really hightorque application. The only reason you should get excessive vibration is if they're in fact broken.

The only real major flawwith stock mountsis that they can completely separate when broken. But to my knowledge there's nothing out there that's going to be even more vibration insulating than the factory mounts. Pretty much everything aftermarketuses poly and/or a solid mount design to increase durability and prevent separation.

True, the old one was busted. If so a new one will suffice, thanks!

i recomend the adjustable ones from mustangsplus. my dad just bought em for his stang and theyre supposed to reduce vibrations. his motor isnt in yet so we dont know for sure. but thats what theyre made for, so they should do the job. and you can adjust the motor 1 inch sideways and up to like 2 inches forwards and back.

The Ron Morris mounts aredesigned to reduce vibrations from headers contacting the shock towers, not general engine vibrations. They're a through-bolt poly mount, meaning that there's a much stiffer connection between the engine and the rest of the car. Not to say they're not great mounts, but for the average joe without clearance issues or a high powered motor they're not really going to help anything.
