u can build a 351 extremely powerful for I'd say somewhere in the 4,500 to 10,000 range depending on what kind of power you want

USMCrebel is right. With everything else stock, but with a 351 you wont to all that much faster top speed wise, and acceleration wouldnt be all that different. You would have to upgrade the engine, suspension, tranny, etc. to truly go fast.

it all depends on what your looking for, there are more than enough people on here that can vouch for the 351. if i had to do it again i would put a 351 in mine instead of a 302.
for the kind of money ^^ you can build a really strong running solid motor
what do you want to do with the motor?

yeah but even people that dont know cars know that ford and chevy dont mix.
Look at almost all of the early Ford rods from the 30's and you'll see a Chevy engine. I'm with you, in that I'd rather see a Ford engine in a Ford.

its not legal...Have you ever heard open headers?Dont even consider til you have..Personally id like to have electric cutouts so i could flip a switch when i wanted more sound.I like the sound but only on occasion. It literally drowns out every other sound anywhere close and sounds like a race car...So no if you plan on driving it at all get exhaust..

I would not even consider it!!!Even though it can be done by the time you are done with all the mods it will need you will basically make the car pretty much worthless!!!Find yourself a 289 and a 4 speed manual.I actually have a running 289 and 4 speed manual but you are too far away to make it worthwhile.Keep looking you will find 1 for a reasonable price.Good Luck with it!![sm=signs003.gif]
