Should the rear leaf springs be 4 leaves? It has the 8" rear with 4 springs and old air shocks. If this is a swap, which I think it is, it must have been done along time ago. Thanks for everyones help so far. I am wondering if the color is kinda rare? I haven't seen too many gold 68's.
If you like your car with no holes in the floor, dump the air shocks.....

What i was told was 64-68 was all 4 lug 6 banger 69 or 70 the 250 got a 5 lug 71-73 there was no 4 lug all 5 no matter what it came with.My 68 was built with a inline 6 was a 302 c4 when i got it some one changed it over at some point.Yes replace the air shocks before driving it anywhere.

Yes those old airshocks are going. We are pulling a 289/C4 out of a parts car we have, to install instead of the 6. You can also tell it was a 6 where the fuel line enters the engine compartment.

To convert to a v/8 you will have to change the mounts that bolt to the shock towers and then of courseget the engine mounts,
will also have to get the correct throttle assembly that will allow to connect more to the driver side, or do as I have a change to a flex cable accelerator.
