Thanks I think you are correct the Idle Compensator KIt #8059 is exactly what I need. Do they make a Y connector I can connect between the compressor and the lead wire from the a/c switch? The saden compressor has a wire about 6 inches ling with a connector that connects to the wire coming from the a/c switch. I would like to install a Y connector so I do not have to splice into the wire to feed 12v to the idle compensator

Jegs and summit have them - bout a $100 bucks.

James, I'm surprised your a/cguy didnt fit one or that there wasnt one in the VintageAir kit...might be worth checking???

The kit from Vintage Air did not come with the compensator
