Depends, you probably need to get the control valve rebuilt, replace hoses?, how are your tie rod ends, replace the power ram, hard to say. How bad do you want ps. I think Mustang Plus has a manual steering adapter to convert yours. I didn't know there was such a thing. Anyway it is made by Grab-A-Trak {$129.95}. I don't know anything about it, but you could call and findout. That would be the cheapest way and they claim you don't have to get a new alignment, unless you need one anyway. You might check that out. Personally, I like the ps, but will cost to fix it. If nothing else, keep the valve and do it later.

You need to check your inner and outer tierod ends to see if they are worn out. Other than that, if you order that converter, that should be it! The part from Virginia mustang is a better price, which part is better, who knows. You can jack the front of you car up, get someone to hold the steering wheel, see how much slack there is. While you have it up, if you haven't check your wheel bearings for slack, now would be the time.
